Dr. Memtsoudis is board certified in anesthesiology and critical care medicine. He joined HSS after completing subspecialty training in critical care medicine, cardiac, and thoracic anesthesiology. Dr. Memtsoudis is widely recognized for his clinical expertise in the perioperative care of orthopedic patients with advanced cardiovascular and pulmonary disease and for his research into perioperative care. Dr. Memtsoudis is the Director of Critical Care Services within the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care & Pain Management. He has published over 330 peer reviewed studies.
